About the Founder

Kyla Tilton, “Marketing Guru & Party Pro”, is known for her fun, creative and cost-effective marketing campaigns and special events.

She owns and operates National Party Starters LLC, the parent company of Atlanta Party Starters. She prides herself on helping corporations and non-profit organizations incorporate special events and consumer promotions into their marketing mix to increase sales and traffic, promote branding efforts and raise awareness. She also produces “Entertain-At-Home” events for celebrities and the everyday person who is just too busy or simply doesn’t have the know-how to create an intimate gathering or a party in their home with the “wow factor” they desire.

“Our nationwide network of marketing and event planning professionals and service providers puts us in a unique position to offer our clients innovative and cost-effective special events and promotions anywhere in the country and deal directly with one point of contact,” says Tilton. “Another bonus for our clients is that our virtual offices allow us to operate more efficiently and eliminates the need to pass on heavy overhead costs.”

Tilton is honored to have been selected as producer of the 2007 Ms. Black Georgia Pageant. “This pageant was formed to celebrate and empower African American women whose goals of making the world a more productive and better place for all Americans closely match my personal goals and that of Atlanta Party Starters”, states Tilton. “I look forward to working with the next generation of future legends and helping them to achieve greatness!” Tilton also notes with pride that this pageant does not include a swimsuit competition.

Born in Chicago, IL and raised in Detroit, MI Tilton has called Atlanta home for over a decade. She has been employed by several well-known corporations to provide marketing and communications expertise. She is a former PR & Special Events Manager for Macy’s where she managed and developed special events, marketing campaigns, sponsorships, promotions and publicity for over 70 department stores across the country. It was there that she had the opportunity to work with major recording artists and nationally renowned actors and athletes arranging personal appearances, live performances, autograph signings and media interviews such as Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, P-Diddy, Trisha Yearwood, Russell & Kimora Lee Simmons, Bow Wow, Jerry O’Connell, Talib Kweli, B5, Steve Harvey, and more. She has also worked for Fila USA and was Director of Franchise Support for a national franchisor of retail stores.

Tilton is an active volunteer for many non-profit organizations. She is a founding member and former PR Chairperson of the Atlanta Urban League Young Professionals and has mentored with Girls, Inc and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Through her company’s signature events, Mingle With A Mission and Salons With Heart, she hopes to give back on an even larger scale by helping a wide array of worthy non-profit organization reach their goals.
